Alec Bloyd-Peshkin
Alec is a professional cabinetmaker, he has built skin-on-frame boats and Greenland paddles, and he enjoys both contemporary and traditional paddling (and rolling). Alec is a member of the Board of Directors of the Chicago Area Sea Kayakers Association. He also teaches for the Chicago Whitewater Association's pool classes and at symposia offered by the West Michigan Coastal Kayakers Association, Inland Sea Society, and Great Lakes Sea Kayak Association. With his wife, Sharon, Alec has co-written articles on paddling and safety for the Prairie State Canoeists' newsletter and Adventure Kayak magazine. They also maintain the blog "Have Kayaks, Will Travel" and their website.
